Heavy fire was showing from the chrome plating facility when Toronto firefighters responded.

A blaze in an industrial building in Toronto has gone to five alarms.

Heavy fire and smoke were visible when firefighters responded to the chrome plating facility.

"All of the occupants of the building have been accounted for," Deputy Fire Chief Jim Jessop told CP24

"At this point, Toronto Fire just continues to engage in exterior firefighting operations to contain this fire." Jessop explained adding that access is difficult due to the railroad.

People in nearby buildings have been evacuated.
